Reality's Loving Embrace

HAHA I FEEL SO ACCOMPLISHED AND SATISFIED WITH MYSELF!!! i promised and i shall deliver... my poem/monologue, "Lies"

You were always inept at handiwork.

Unable to fathom the depth of your futility,

You wove an intricate web of fabrications -

A colossal compendium of potent subterfuges

Precariously connected by a delicate architecture.

A religious manuscript for the pious believer, you

Enslave yourself with your perjury.  

It is a tribute to the synthetic reality you live in,

A world of dishonest truths.

But your magnificent Pièce de résistance is 

Riddled with contradictions, the consequence

Of your dogmatic endeavor to escape from your

Depressing reality. I pity you, for

When your work is swept away

By the gentlest of breezes,

Your world will fall into utter chaos.

The sky will bleed and the ground will shake and 

You will be sober enough to see that the luxuries

You've indulged in simply do not exist and

Your tragic reality will deliver its coup de grâce 

And break your heart with its loving embrace.
