Evidently, my sleeping pattern is messed up. It's 1am and I'm gonna fall asleep by 1.30am because nothing good happens at 2am XD (himym reference himym reference himym reference)
Hmm, while trying to write a poem and express my feelings in a beautiful and elegant and imaginative matter, I suffer from a loss of inspiration. So many things to write but 1 thing that struck me the most, that i remember rather vividly, is the EUROPE EFFECT. I dont know what to call it or cant explain but Europe does things to you.
The atmosphere in Europe is... different.
Firstly, there's the ppl - ALL CAUCASIANS and the language they speak is so... european. THE ACCENT, god i love the accent. The french and german and italian and russian in particular
Next, there's the air. Europe has this crisp taste in the air. I attribute that to the low humidity in winter. Then it has the european smell. the food, the cheese, the meats the breads and bakeries full of cookies and lovely <3 fluffay stuff, and not to mention DA COFFEE... it gives european air a certain deliciousness and flavour that Asian air simply lacks. it has the more upper-class taste to it as compared to say, a hawker centre
Then, theres the colour. In London and Greece, the one thing that struck me was that everything seemed grayer and sharper. Ok, try this. On a sunny day, close your eyes for 1 minute. Then open them. Everything seems bleached and white and sharp, right? That's the exact same thing in europe. Everything is so white/grey. But maybe thats because its not as close to the equator as Singapore
Or maybe it's the buildings. The style that reminds me so much of colonialism. The fact that there are rural towns which are idyll-worthy. The nostalgic/runawayfromthecity feel XD *sighs*
But in anycase, EUROPE. ThE EUROPE EFFECT/Atmosphere. Puzzling. And now it's 1.23am and I shall get a glass of Diet Coke and then promptly fall asleep. At least that's the plan. ^^
